I run Stihl,I have always used them.
Very trouble free. But it isn't what you run....
It is what you can get fixed quick in a pinch that is the best.

I saw the 755 at the Louisville EXPO. One thing that is improved -- the flexible part of the blower tube is a bit longer which allows for better maneuverability of the tube.

Echo- 750 and 755. Some may say they are not as good as redmax and stihl but I think they are close and 100 bucks less. My feeling on backpacks and weedwackers are that if you get a full 2-3 years out of them you are ahead of the game. They are almost throwaway tools. Like a leaf rake that has the handle break after 2-3 weeks oh well buy a new one.

I'm with you. We have a ebz8000 and needed another blower in a hurry. We went and got a new br600 and the 8000 blow it away. stihl ended up buying it back because it did not have enough power for what we wanted. Now have a NEW ebz8001 to go with the fleet.:cool2: :cool2:

Echo or Redmax. I have a echo pb 650, and pb 403. I have a redmax eb 6200. I think my next blower will be a redmax though. I like redmaxes blowers better then echo.

i tried an Echo pb751 and i ended up selling it on ebay. it vibrated more than the Redmax and the smaller fuel tank stunk. i just bought a Redmax 8000 and it feels much better on my back than the echo did. i do think my old 7000 is the most comfortable back pack i've ever used.

The Redmax 7000 and 7001 series backpack blowers (1999 - present) are subject to a recall because the muffler fails and directs hot exhaust toward the gas tank. Can you say "fire?"

Bought an Echo 620 this year and needed another blower so I bought an Echo 755-T.. $75 more than the 620 but worth it. I wish I had bought 2 755's.. the extra power is awesome. Saves a lot of time when you are moving huge piles of leaves.

After you have used this blower for a few weeks please send me a message or either post how you like it. I tried an 8510 and I really like it. The hardest thing for me to swallow was the price tag of $542.00. It may be well worth it, I was also weary of the new engine. Again it may be fine.........I just think anything new needs to prove itself in the field.

I bought my 8510 in the spring of this year. I have been pleased with it so far. It seems to be a well thought out machine and well made. Now that cleanup time is here I love it even more. It really shines when moving large volumes of leaves in a timely manner. Paid $500.00 for mine from dealer.

Hahah... when I say STEEL and STILL it sounds EXACTLY THE SAME.... LOL...

My wife is from Jersey though... so I'll have to 'consult' with her on this one.
Then she can let me know how to pronounce both words 'correctly' and I can get back to you.

What? No problems. You never had a rubber mount break the impeller housing on the old style where the the housing is connected to the frame. We alway broke them. Its the style where the frame forms a box around the whole unit.

I run Three Echo`s. Two handhelds and The old BP400E backpack. Since I put a new set of rings in the 400E it runs so dam good now. It was the first backpack blower I ever owned and just cant seem to let it go. I find its Cheaper to rebuild my stuff when it gets slow here. I can work on my own stuff so its no big deal.

Nope, other than general maintnance ( cleaning exhaust, plugs, rubber seals)these are just things you have to do when you run them all the time. Its like a tune up for a car, so from what your saying if you have to do that then there no good? If you dont take proper maintnance with your car you won't be driving very long so why wouldn't you do the same for your equipment.

Sounds to me like the answer is simple, although too many think with testosterone instead of brains, which clouds the subject a bit. The obvious answer is...............they are all good. Too many users like to many different brands and have all had good luck with what they like. They are all good! Just buy the one with a dealer in your area.

I was thinking about the stihl blowers they have a smaller foot print and weigh about 5lbs lighter than Echo 650/755 models. With that being said I have not tested the 4 mix blowers yet. Im not a big fan of the 4 mix technology. I have two weed trimmers that are 4 mix, I hate that the machine has to build up power to get to full throttle. Those of you that own 4mix trimmers you what Im talking about. I hate that I have to pay an extra 30 to 40 bucks to have the valves adjusted, it should be free.
