My 20hp 48" isnt vacuming up like it always has. No clogs, all clean, new belts. Machine sounds fine, and runs fine,1200 hrs on it. Bades are a little thin, but thats it. Any advice?
hello, things to check
1/engine condition comp check , leak down test
2/are the wings still on the blades
3/ all the baffles in deck good condition ?
4/deck edge that folds 90 degrees not worn out ?
5/grass shute in good condition no holes
6/blower wheel fins no more than 1/8 inch clearance to housing
are the fins as per the new shape not twisted etc Have u changed the blower wheel ever since new if so at what hrs
7/tensioner requires checking ,the brg or bush do bind up easily if not greased very often. THis causes the blower belt to slip --remove belt and checheck
8/ is the grass screen blocked
9/ have rpm of engine set with tacho to makers spec
