What height do you guys mow your lawn for the last time of the season?I live in northwest north carolina and have fescue grass.I mowed it at 4 inches high during the mowing season.Thanks alot

Usually, I would drop it just a little if you think it will be the last mow for awhile. To me, it just looks better since taller grass will not stand up quite as well with frost, snow, ice, etc. Obviously, don't get too carried away. No scalping.:)

Again, if this is the last cut for quite a while, I wouldn't think 2" would hurt anything. Hey, it's cool season time.

It would be murder if you did it during the summer but if you want to go that low, I can't imagine anything getting hurt this time of year.

I would lower to 3.5" first then 3" for the last couple of mows. I would not go any lower than 3".

Watch out for stuff you used to just run over. Dropping 2 inches puts your blades in foreign territory!
