12" paver base?

[VO Landscape Design]

A "friend" of mine wants a pathway with some existing 12" square 2" thick patio blocks. The path will be 2' wide and about 40 ' long. Would 3/4 rock 2" thick and 2" thick paver sand then blocks be correct? Just starting with the hardscaping. Dealing in mostly plant installs.

Nah, Dude.

The aggregate base needs to be no less than 4" after compaction. compacted in 2-3-inch lifts. Aggregate must be a crusher run, typically 3/4" down to fines.

The bedding sand shall be screeded to 1-inch. No more no less.
