Ive had my Echo hc150's for nearly 5 years. They get abused every year, lots of use nearly year round. They still fire on the first or second pull. Very durable and cut well for the price.

Echo hand helds, are commercially proved equipment.I have no clue about Troy-built, no preconceived notions about the brand at all. I don't know if Troy-built is commercial grade, or even who manufactures it and puts the Troy-built logo on.

I've got the HC-150i. The pull start is on a ratchet, starts extremely easy.

I am familiar with echos I start system. I cant see shelling out the extra cash for it unless you have a disability! It also gives you more problems if your starter rope breaks or your started spring unwinds.

I've heard bad things about the easy start/ easy break models from many manufactures. I only run Husky and have been very pleased. Plus the thing will go through a pine branch as big as your thumb, no problem.

You should be able to find the HC150i at any Echo dealer.

I called 3 local Echo Dealers and not one carries the HC-150 i,
I only found 1 on Internet that had it for $299.00
So I ordered the HC150 for $245.00 free shipping and no tax.
