When adjusting the high idle how do you know where you should stop as not to run the engine to lean. The blower I am working on was given to me because it would not run. But after a little tweaking and cleaning I have it running like a top. The only thing is I adjusted the high idle by working on it until it would run wide open and then I adjusted the high idle screw until the air flow was pushing the nozzle as high in the air as it would.

I do the high run based on the sound/rpm of the engine, I turn it CCW until it starts to drop off in rpm then go back a bit. I don't know why but sometimes the low idle affects the high end rpm also ....it is a tweaking contest but the low end idle usually affects starting if you get that wrong. Sounds like you got it going properly..
