Definetly popular here in the Phx Area. I pay 2.00 and charge 2.75 for a sub. Just about every yard has some curbing in it.

You can start the machine at the house/wall it will be attached to and work from there, or if coming in the other direction (towards the house/wall, you have to mold and finish it by hand if you've got nowhere to go with the machine. Either way, all ends and corners need hand work, in fact the whole thing gets a run over with a molded trowel for a proper finish.

In Washington I won't install a curb for under $4.00 a foot with a minimum of $350 per job. We install many different profiles. We started out installing curb only but found that pavers compliment the curbing. Now 45% of our business is pavers with 25% retaining walls and 30% curb.

Northern California, $4.00/lf for standard Gray, $350 minimum (higher if we have to drive very far). This stuff is all over our area so it sells itself. All you have to do here is advertise and then answer the phone and you can book your schedule full. Materials are roughly $.65/lf for us, but we own a materials yard so we get better materials pricing than most would be able to get. You will likely pay about $.90/lf for materials in most areas.
