I ran across a source of inexpensive new Donalaldson air filters. (The housing and one filter)
First the good news. They are surplus (military) and they are $5
They can be purchased from Jake Faith

I don't know him and I am not in on any deal.
Now the bad news. They don't appear to have been made for any one of our engines.
They do appear to be very well made and are for engine intake air.
The output to the engine is 2 in dia OD
There are two inputs 2 in dia and 2. 25 in dia. there is a lever to block either input and the lever is labeled " winter summer"
The housing is 4.5 in dia and 15 in long.
The filter is 4 in by 9.75 it is marked "Donaldson 80 CFM 81996 13206E 1253 18265-P10-4030
They come in a sealed box, There are more numbers on the box if any one wants them.
