Sitting in the shed, better fix it sooner than later.
I haven't ever replaced one...
Any tricks or suprises to this job?

Just MAKE SURE once you get it off and flipped over you rotate the rope pulley COUNTER clockwise to re-load the spring, Aligning the pulley hole with the housing hole then feed the new rope through the housing and into the pulley then tie your knot.

Tie a figure eight knot not a half hitch. Melt the ends of your new rope with a lighter so it dosen't fray.
