Weed control

I purchased a gallon of Trimenic Classic to treat for weeds in my new lawn. (Approx. 2.5 acres) The lawn was planted last fall (fescue blend) and has estabished well, however, I have not treated for any weeds yet. (Other than pre-emergent for crabgrass.)<p>It seems the standard answer here for when to treat is around late April/May. (I'm in southern Indiana.) However, it appears to me that the weeds are already growing agressively.<p>I have purchased a 25 gal pull type boom sprayer to apply chemicals. Any tricks for use?<p>I would like to hear some opinions on the best time to spray, how often to treat, and how you apply.<p>Thanks in advance!<br><p>----------<br>D. Tom<br>

GDD explained at bottom of &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.wxsystems.com/terms/gdd.html&quot;&gt;This page&lt;/a&gt;(GDU = gdd).
