I'm thinking of selling my 1992 Ford L8000 24ft stake bed. It has a lift gate on the back, cummins motor, 5spd tranny. It has ~150,000 miles on it and runs perfect. Not the prettiest of trucks but no rust on the cab, bed has the typical surface stuff...

Whats she worth roughly?

Thanks.

What is the gvw ?

What axle ratings ?

What size Cummins ?

Size of tires ?

Dayton or Budd wheels ?

Brakes- Air or Juice ?

Any pictures ?

Without seeing what you have I would ball park the price anywhere from 10,000 at the lowest to 15,000.

Drawbacks would be it has a 5spd and I have a feeling it has the small Cummins (5.9).

A 24' bed is pretty long what a person could do with the truck is take the deck off shorten the wheelbase and make a dump truck out of it. Trying to find a Louisville Ford that isn't rusted is hard to find.

What is the gvw ? 26,000

What axle ratings ? not sure off the top of my head.

What size Cummins ? I believe it is the 5.9, what would the other option be?

Size of tires ? 22.5's

Dayton or Budd wheels ? Dayton

Brakes- Air or Juice ? Juice

I will post up some pics tomorrow.

Thanks!

The truck sounds like its has a derated gvw I imagine its a 33,000lb gvw truck with a under CDL gvw.

A truck like that here would be at most 15,000 dollars CND but for you it all depends on the market in your area.
