If your truck/trailer GVWR is 10k+ you need a dot number
There is a page there to download the form
Or you can fill it out online
Easy way is to download the form fill it out then copy it to the online form

No its the total GVWR Truck + trailer
DOT number goes with the truck
At least thats the way I understand it

Take a look at the sticker on the door jam of your truck it should have the GVWR for the truck
The trailer should have a rating somewhere either on the tongue or on the axle
add those up and you will have your total GVWR

ok i read some and now i know that you have one dot # for your company
even though its supposed to be on the truck would it be bad to put it on the trailer too
