real diamond striping with alternating 2 dark and 1 light on criscrossing diaganols

has anyone heard about or seen a lawn or a picture of a lawn striped with true diamonds. i have only seen diagrams and wanted to know if anyone had a picture or advice.

I would think what you want is caused by cross cutting the lawn at opposite angles over and over to really get the pattern to stand out....aka stripeing the lawn....

i saw a diagram on simplicitys website where the mower goes the same direction for 2 side by side passes and then comes back the other direction, duplicating this for both crisscrosses. i am a little confused but interested that maybe a person could get a larger and more pronounced diamond mowing like this.
