Trying to decide between the 450cc or 660cc 4X4 models. Does anyone have either one? Any real difference in power? Salesman says (I know, I know) the only difference is in top speed, same low end power with either.

Thank you for any opinions,

Joel B.

Don't believe the salesman. the 450 is a dog there are a couple Rinos in our atv club and the 660 is worth the extra money. i personally like the 700 Polaris Ranger. it has a bench seat so you can fit 3 people in it

You need to keep things in perspective too. Some of the larger Kubota, Kawasaki, Yamahas and Polaris are as big as an army jeep making it impossible to use on most trails let alone in the woods. If you're going to be solely working this on an open farm then the point is moot. I have looked at the Kawasaki Camo'd 610 long and hard to replace my golf cart but can't quite get excited about it to make the plunge yet. I made the mistake of riding a new Can-Am 4X4 800 the other day and fell in Luv.

How is the 450 a dog? Top end, acceleration, hill climbing, power...?

I think it really depends what your planning to use it for. We looked long and hard at them and decided that we will be getting the artic cat later to replace our yammy atv. Better service with the dealer here

If your going to plunk down that kinda money make sure you check out some other brands too.

you guys can have the newer big atvs but you can only go as fast as the trail will let you. i had a suzuki 250 and stayed on the butt of 650s and 700s all day, they may take off faster but a smaller atv will let you slide around the corner faster and is more forgiving when it rolls on you. i am currently looking for a late 90's suzuki king quad. it is the only atv that you can find that has 2 wheel/4wheel select and diff lock. with the option of a 5 speed transmission with a hi, low, and super low. all in the same package. all of this with independent suspenion front and back. with 15 speeds to choose from the 300cc motor has plenty of power and top end.

and if any one here has one that wants to sell it please give a pm
