Just do visit the dealer so that you can Demo and ask questions. Many Dealers right now are selling their Demo models and used equipment that has been traded. My Stihl Dealer is selling alot of stuff at really good prices makign room for next years models. It is worth a trip to the dealer rather than messing with online stuff that might not be right anyway.

I don't think Stihl allows their products to be sold over the internet. You need to go to a dealer.

there is no way that i can find out the price of their products online? its not that im looking to buy my equipment online i just want prices..i figured the best place to get prices would be an online store or something

STIHL BR600. $469.00 plus tax. As always, request to talk to the service tech that handles the product you are buying.

Redmax EB7001 Backpack Blower, 425$ from wise sales in Illinois. Killer machine. Highly recommend it. You'd probably pay around 450 to 480 at other dealers. Stihl BG-55 handheld blower, $140 also a great machine. As for string trimmers, I think both Stihl and Redmax start at about 230 and go up from there. I've never used one, but I think that the Stihl FS80R would be good and not to expensive. Try to get a 2-cycle they are better and stronger.

thanks paul vroom..i was actually looking at the br600 and the redmax 8001

i think im going to go with the br600 just because it looks easier to use when im blowing leaves out of the mulchbeds (it doesnt really have anything to get stuck and it is a lot slimer)

anyone know how much a yard boss costs? i want to use it to dethatch and the "cultivate"
i kno its not commercial but its not like im going to be using it every single day all year long

it would help if anyone knew the price of the 2 attatchments listed above

Thats why i went with the BR600. I can walk through bushes and I have yet to get caught. It is a kick as machine. Handles wet leaves and large branches. I let it run on idle and it cleans the beds fine. One word of advice, do not point it straight at the ground and go full throttle until you learn how to stear it.

I bought a new Stihl BG85C hand blower -- retail price was $215. Somebody else quoted the same price in another thread.

Also, somebody said earlier in this thread that Stihl does not sell online. That is right. Even mail order houses with a phone order will not sell and ship. I confirmed this in a communication with Stihl. I thought their reasoning was pretty shallow, but that is another story -- at least I was given their policy statement. Stihl apparently has a very tight guideline on how their dealers work.
