Hi everyone. So about a month ago I purchased a brand new redmax 8000, my first redmax. Once i had it I realized that I could not live without it. Then one day it stalled and I couldnt get it running again. Felt like a fuel problem, junk in the carb? I thought. I took it to my dealer, he called me back and said it blew a piston. Anyone had problems like this with theirs? Its being coverd by redmax, but the downtime is killing me.

:usflag: i own some 30+ pieces of redmax equipt. and some are 7-8 years old. i would look into the oil you use and or mixing metod, do you put the oil in gas can after its filled or before? i use lucas oil w/ super unleaded, our stuff runs very strong for a long time. tony

Look in to the oil. It could be the problem. I always use echo power blend in 89 octane gas. I put in the oil then add gas.
