15 With plenty of business, but as stated before I like the mind over matter theory. I get compliments all of the time from customers saying that they think I have a very good business and they really apppreciate the way I run it.

Age starts to kick in when you get joints replaced and vertebrae fused due to manual labor wearing everything out. On the bright side if you're lucky you will get dementia and not realize how messed up you are

I'm only in my mid 40's........but old enough to remember when a pack of national brand cigarettes, like "Winston", sold for 29 cents a pack, back around 1976-77 or so!

When I quit smoking in 1984, the most I was paying for a pack, at 'expensive' convenient stores, was about 65-70 cents.

Don't ANYONE on here try to tell me that today's cig prices are "adjusted for inflation" compared to back then!
Today it's all about the State pulling in the JACK!

Holy Monkey!

I don't know how anyone can stomach paying the tobacco prices of today...even for el-cheapo generics.

I just like to tease all the kids who are out there spending all that jack to do nothing but to shorten their lifespans and ruin the chances of seeing their grandkids.

My age i can remember . Gas wars price 18.9. Is that too old?

I remember gas wars. Well, they still have them only now it's not who's lower priced. It's who can have the higher price.
We used to drive across town, past 15 full serv (they were all full serv) stations to get it for 2 cents less. Gas stations were service stations, washed your windows, filled the tank, checked your tires, gave stamps or oven mitts for a fill up, fixed cars, changed tires and a host of other services. Just like Mayberry.:) And there was a station every 3 blocks. Some were very unique. Some were in the shape of a dinosaur, or some other shape to attract attention. Sometimes there were 3 at one intersection, thus the catalyst for gas wars. All for under a quarter a gallon. Now they're called convenience stores. Of course the attendant was lucky if he made $1.00/ hr.

I'm 44

But I can pass for mid or early 30's easy.

If I was the typical haggardly broken-down 44 year old I'd never do this as a business.

Youthful genes run in the family.

My dad is 83 but can easily pass for early 60's

My son is 8 but can pass for 6.5

Guess we are late bloomers. :cool2:

As stated above, I'm also 44; look late 30's, and still get carded at out-of-town bars and C-stores! I've been landscaping exactly half of my life this year; last 11 years on my own, and loving (almost) every minute of it. Do I expect to be able to do this another 22 years? Doubt it. That's why I'm eyeing my next career; cooking! I almost went into it after high school. I may get older, but I'll NEVER get old!
