Well,
first mower I technicly owned was a toro 21" from the 80's or so.
I got that mower and anouther just like it for free. One blew out on a hill and the other is sitting in my garage with a broken starter gear.
First real commercail mower I own is a 2004 exmark viking that I am picking up tuesday!

Good god I can't remember the model # but it was a john deer riding mower with a 30"deck and I did the tow the trailer in the neighborhood thing I think I had 10 account for 2 year then I quit till now

P.S. The mower caught on fire when the muffler got to hot one day and ignited the fiberglass body.

For the lawn service it was a brand-new John Deere 14PZ push mower and a circa '80s Hechingers 12.5 HP 38" rider. The Deere lasted for a few seasons before I sold it, the rider was done in under a year.

For personal use the first mower I bought was a Craftsman push mower back around 1980 or so.

40" Simplicity Broadmore. I thought that I really had 'something'. The guy that I bought it from took good care of the exterior, waxing it all the time, never checked/changed the oil, blew a hole through the side of the motor.

Gravely 100 pistol grip 36" walk behind, used in 2002.

Hated that thing. A few months later I bought a PM 260 ZTR and a few months later I bought a used Toro 36" walkbehind with T-bar and sold that damn Gravely 100.

I will never own a pistol grip again.

my first mower my mom bought for me on my 16th Birthday, a 10HP 42in cut Sears tractor.

My first commercial mower was a 61" "ancient" Bunton walkbehind. The thing was so old you couldn't even adjust the cut height in the field.

First mower, a murray 20" but technically didn't cut any lawns except mine with that. I really started with a yardman 21" w/ tecumseh 6.5 hp. Great mower! Used it for two years with no real trouble. The wheels started falling off though and I threw the deck away.

I've got an old picture of one from the early to mid sixties...It was taken at the Buena Vista hotel in Biloxi Ms. for some meeting where they were one of the vendors. It's got a chick in a one piece sitting on it and man, what a beast. It's gigantic...I'll try to post it up from work tomorrow.
