I was wondering if any of you folks have or know where I can find a chart that I can use to estimate mulch, topsoil, etc. I know how to do the math, but I am looking for a quick reference to keep in my clipboard.

Thanks for your help, and be careful out there.

Since a cubic yard is the same regardless what it is made of. I would check with a local concrete company. They have a small ruler type slide rule.

Match length, width, depth you will get the cubic yards. Or you can set down and do the math yourself, print the result have it laminated and carry that with you.

For mulch, my simple rule of thumb is 3 yards will cover 1,000 sq ft one inch deep.

Probably other information by using the search function on lawnsite.

I had the same question a few days ago and found a good chart on this thread:

Chart (http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14856&highlight=mulch)

Just highlight it and then print it!

***Special thanks to Clinton D.Wagner, who originally posted it!***

Guido was working on a "Math Cheat Sheet" in his spare time. I don;t know what the status is at the moment though.
