I live in florida and i am starting a bussiness and i am not having any success getting business.... What has been the best methods for you guys.... Any help would be great.... The only success i have are friends of mine...... I have probably passed out about 2,000 flyers in the last month and half.... What else can i do.... thanks alot... frank

nobody signs up for lawn service this time a year, those flyers are probably going straight in the trash..

On the contrary, this time of year is a good time to get new accounts. I do not advertise. All of my business is word of mouth. Last week I got 3 new big accounts, these people called me based on work I've done for other customers.

I started in June, and picked up a few clients.

Today, I may have just picked up a retirement community for 2,500 a month in labor!

I have to agree, this time of year is not that busy for getting new accounts, you would be surprised on the people that go maybe once a month with their lawns cut and it is good enough for them.....GL and go with heavy advertisment come Feb/March.

I would agree that this is a time of year to advertise and start getting your name out there. People may not be getting their lawns serviced this time of year but they may be looking at getting a new service. Its a lot of trial by fire to see what types of advertising works and what dosen't. Don't give up!!! I am just getting started here in Florida a lot of it is word of mouth. and network with folks at like church, scouting events etc. hope this helps. Peace Randy
