Ive got to drill a whole approx 3/4" through a boulder approx 36" thick.
Any suggestions?

very easy use a large bit 16 inches long ,mark with a level & square,drill both sides , and use a bit extension to finish the middle.good luck.

much easier to get a bit for that depth.........you can usually rent a bit large enough with an extension. We drilled 4' deep holes 1" in diameter last month. Much easier than trying to match up drilling from both sides

most importantly - you'll need a hammer drill.

rent the compressor and rock drill combo with a bit and extension...should cost less than $200 a day. You can drill a 3-4' deep hole in less than 10 or 15 minutes
