Gravel road question

There is a paved road, about 1 mile long. Then for another half mile it turns to gravel. At the end of the road is a good sized parcel of land. My question is, do you think the town would require me to continue the hot top? Id be willing to maintain it if it was to stay gravel. Just looking for some opinions on this one. Thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question fully. You are looking to purchase the land and build one home or purchase and build a sub-division? Regardless of all that, you should be able to get answers to your questions at the building dept. of the town that the lot is located in. You should be able to find out their master plan for the area, what the zoning allows and calls for for that parcel, etc.. Are there utilities run to the property yet?
