I prefer Redmax equipment. They have 2 year commercial warranty.

Although you'll likely have to fight Husqvarna to get it.

I like Stihl. I had Redmax & I had to keep taking my trimmer in to get it fixed. It really started going down the whole on its 3rd year.

For a PAS unit, Echo would be my choice. They have severall attachments avaliable for the machine. Also, they are competitively priced so you wont break the bank! JMO

I started with a Stihl chainsaw, and from there on, purchased only Stihl, 1 back pack blower, 1 handheld, 1 trimmer, 1 cut-off saw, and 1 hedgetrimmer. The only problems I have ever had was some times they will start hard. After talking to my dealer about it, he gave me a 6 pack of Stihl synthetic oil to try, he said that was what they found the problem to be. I have only got to run about 1 tank in the machines scince doing it, and havent really noticed anything.
I have had great luck with Stihl, and wont change unless there quality were to go down hill. And, besides, its nice have all one brand, you dont have to have a bunch of different plugs, fuel cans, and such.

make the decision based on who you think will do what they say & stand behind it. STIHL for me. It's all about service.

RedMax's handheld is Statocharged and has a 2 year warranty. Thats what I'm getting in the spring.

I use Stihl products and a few Echo, when I get the chance, I'll switch entirely over to Echo.

Right now I've got one Stihl and one Echo trimmer, an Echo edger, a Stihl blower, a Stihl chainsaw, and a Husqvarna hedge clipper.

Can't say I have any major complaints about any of them. I think I'm going to try a Redmax trimmer this spring.

Echo all the way. Tough commercial grade units that will refuse to die!

Have you tried getting replacement parts for a redmax product lately???
I love my redmax blowers, but parts are pain to find, mostly order and cross your fingers they come in within a month!!
