6 Blade set-up

What are the advantages of running a six blade set-up? If you put 2 blades on the same spindle will they stay in an X or is there a modification you have to make for them to stay? Looked at Eric Elm's web page and his yards look great and he says he runs this set-up. Just curious.<p>Brook Haynes <br>Quality Lawn Care

Brook, you mentioned you looked at pictures on my website today, did you read the Clipping Article on page 7? This tells about the double blades and explains why I use them. There is also a picture which compares 2 lawns in the spring, with and with out using this setup. This should answer your question above. The blades will stay in the X or + position unless you hit something solid. If they do slip, loosen the bolt and fix it.
