Old 1985 key Electric Toro 21"

Does anyone remember this mower ? I was just given one by an elderly neighbor that was clearing out the garage. It has a battery pack for an ignition start, looks residential but is built like a tank. The deck looks sturdy etc.... It starts but will not stay started as it appears to be blowing fuel out the spark plug hole and some times around the intake on the carb.I'm curious if anyone knows of these mowers...........

Sounds like it's flooding, You most likely need to tear the carb. down clean it out with carb. & choke spray cleaner and replace the float needle valve.

Thanks for the feedback. I will open it up soon. Do you think the mower is worth the work ? I know a float needle is fairly cheap so I may just do it for the experience.

If it looks like it will cut grass it's worth a few bucks and a half hour of your time. You may be able to sell it and make a little mad money.
