Watch neutral lock levers on the Exmark ECS system. If either is wobbling at all this is a manufacturing defect. There is supposed to be loctite or similar product on the bolt that holds levers to keep them from wobbling, but if bolt is overtightened, or loctite not used on bolt it will cause neutral lock to wobble.
This can cause a seious problem because if one neutral lock catches while performing reverse or turn maneuver the machine will spin out of control. One of our guys went through a wooden fence when this happened and later in the day spun into a flower bed. We didn't realize what the problem was until later.
If either neutral lock is wobbling at all put some semi-perm loctite on the bolt and don't overtigten. If anyone else had this problem Exmark should issue a warning to dealers and owners of ECS.
