The heat brings out the crazy people

Today I had a guy approach me about an estimate. I remember him from last year—same thing. Midsummer he needed a lawnboy. I remember his wife being crazy, but they never called and I never worried about it. A current customer of mine on the same street told me that he may be calling and informed me of his habit of not being happy with work that anyone does for him (thank God). So he asks for an estimate and I explain my schedule is full. His jaw dropped and he shook his head and repeated his request—we are talking a postage stamp broken up by belgian block and a fence—barely fitting a 21" in the back. I explained again and his reply was "Who needs you anyway".

Gotta love people like that. As if 90 degree humid weather wasn’t fun enough !

I get one of those almost every year. I love it to, because people like that give my crew and I someone to make fun of in the truck. When he said who needs you anyway? You should have asked him if he didnt need you why he asked for an estimate.
