DIDO! usually everything is priced about 1k less than a new mower with twice the hours. I just wish they put a bigger motor on those, something like a 23hp Kawi. A friend of mine has the exact mower and he likes it but he said it boggs down in taller grass.

Yea, I wish it had a bigger engine to...It does seem to bogg down in tall grass and at higher speeds

Unless you put the two belt upgrade for the blades there is no use trying to put a bigger engine on. We was using two $60 belts a year until I installed the upgrade.

I am just saying that if you put on a bigger engine and if you are going to cut tall grass then I suggest putting on the two belt upgrade kit.

I have a tiger cub 52" 24 horse honda and it does pretty well , only have the one belt system but i agree it needs upgraded to a 2 belt deck , also just bought a new wildcat 52" 26 horse but the deck does have the 2 belt upgrade

I was quoted a price the first time when i started looking 3 weeks ago of7800.00 told them to call around to see if they could do better and he called his dist manager ,who in turn i have spoken to before , and low and behold he found one at another dealership that needed sold . They in turn brought to a dealership a hr away from my home and i went and picked it up. I will drive a hr each way to save 500 bucks anyday. i did price the same mower at the local dealership 10 miles away and he was 700 bucks higher plus tax . So i guess it depends on the dealerships and if they are willing to move a product and make a little less .

Good luck with your new Tiger Cub. I have the 24hp honda and 52" deck on mine. 500 hours on it and I think it has the 2 belt system. Never had to change one so I never looked to see. I just change the oil and filters, grease the spindles and keep on cuttin. Very reliable machine so far.

You might want to take a look at the old manual there are more grease points than just the spindles.

The 48" cub comes with bigger engines. Check out scag's website.

You are correct. All grease points are serviced, but the spindles get special attention.
