What is the difference in the Tri-vantage deck on the turf tracer hp and the Ultra-cut deck on the turf tracer? Is one of these used as the Triton deck platform some people are having problems with? only thing I can find is one is a little deeper.

The Tri-vantage, Ultracut, and Triton are three different decks. with the Triton being the newest. Trivantage is the oldest.

All of the them are good, Ultra-cut is one of the best out there, I have never used a Triton so I don't know much about it.

Ultracut is the best deck exmark makes. The trivantage is good as well.

Mine is a ZTR, but I had often wondered about that too. I asked Exmark one time, and this was the response I got:

"Hello Larry. I will answer this from a service guys perspective.
Technically, all for our rider decks are TriVantage; this means the same
deck can be used in side discharge, bagging and mulching. The main reason
for the Triton was more room for higher ground speeds. Also it has
baffles that users can adjust for blowout and discharge. This is what I
would think that would be the noticeable differences in the Triton vs
our other decks."

I guess I should have recognized that the Tri in TriVantage must have some meaning, so it looks like that email I received from Exmark explains what it is. I presume the Tri in Triton is for the same reason. Hope this helps someone.

The Tri-Vantage and ultra cut are both excellent decks. They are in my oppinion equal to each other. The triton I would stay away from at all costs unless you live down south which you dont.

It puzzles me that Exmark who make a new deck (Triton) which gives not as good of a cut than their older deck (Ultracut).
Since I believe they do some trials before putting new products on the market, is there something we are missing here?
Does this deck exist just because of the Toro Turboforce deck?

Exmark designed and tested the deck down south. It cuts southern lawns great from what I hear. Same with the hustler XR7 deck from what I have gathered on here. Even my local exmark dealer told us to stay away from the Triton. They are haveing alot of them come back with cut quality issues.
