Looks like a pretty good idea, but in Mass they will get you for not having a full fender on the left side.:hammerhead:

Ive thought about building one that the front half dumped, it would bypass the fender laws. What porpuse would you have for a trailer like that? Mine would be to bag grass or leaves and not have to unload them by hand.

I would rather buy one with the dump in front, not in the middle. after you have the dump sides up, there is nowhere to put your equipment.

I'm w/ Deere.

I'd place a call to your local DOT numbering station or inspector and check if the trailer will pass a DOT saftey audit. Better to check first than to realize you made a $5,000 mistake.
You may be able to weld a fender on, but it's hard to tell just looking at the pics.

hard to tell if it is able to dump everything out of the bed as well. thought it was a neat concept and hadn't seen it before. thought i would post it for anyone on here it help. the down side would be inability to dump and spread at the same time.

also, the site says a side ramps could be ordered. then you could store lighter equipment in the front and rear of the dump area.

I called Pat who is the owner of the company and the dump section dumps at a 60 degree angle, plus it dumps up and over the fender. There are alot of options for these trailers also. Give him a call to get a price. There is a company that ordered one here in CO and when they get it, I am going to go and see it.

with that design you probably wouldnt be able to dump a load exactly where you want it without manuavering the truck/trailer through lawns and possibly leaving ruts and what not. Other than that it looks like a sharp setup.

Check out felling trailers.com, They make a great dump/ equipment trailer. Dump up front, 14 to 20' deck in the rear. Anyway that you need.
