I was looking at replacing my front bumper on my International with a polished or chrome or whatever bumper.........but what about just getting the one I've got dipped? Anybody know the cost? $200? I've never done this before.
Anything vs the blacked painted one I've got.

Powder coaters can do a chrome color.

Chrome bumpers are not cheap I bet for a International you would be looking at a easy 1000 dollars. Cheapest option is powercoat and if the bumper has no dents and its straight your good to go.

I pulled out 3 of my Chrome catalogs....none of them have IHC bumpers priced higher than $650 ( for stainless) with $390 the avg...Chromed steel..
Just "goog" for them and be amazed...then go see your local dealer and see what he can match $$ wise....
And the old adage "chrome does not belong on a work truck" is BS....Shiny ,clean equipment draws attention whether it be paint, vinyl graphics or CHROME....
And the best thing, old or new, if it is clean the customer is at ease the minute you drive up....

Chrome is toxic and expensive.

So is the guy that works for me when I cut his check while he eats some breakfast burritos!
I don't care if its chrome or not............all I want is the * B L I N G *
All I had checked at the time was ebay. Its the current bumper on my truck I'm considering having made over in some form vs buying a new bumper.

You going to put spinners on the wheels too
A person needs some shiny stuff on a truck or it looks too plain. I know allot of owner ops with their trucks with hours of cleaning to keep the shiny stuff shiny.

Spinners yeah and don't forget underbody lights. I'm going to Pep Boys and Advanced Auto to "hook up" my ride.

don't forget the fart-can!

Then I see 2 options,
Buy a replacement "BLING" bumper and totally refurb the old one....Match the new paint color to signage on the doors ( your logo)
Take a shorter "down time" and have a "Custom shop" ready for when you pull the bumper...POWADA coat, paint or chrome it...
Your "ride" and your wallet:laugh:
