suretap head

Is there a different head to uses that works the same as the suretap head.My problem is that the guys keep running the heads to close to the ground and wearing the bump part out and pushing the spring though. We love the suretap heads,but if they would make this piece 1/2" to 3/4" thick it wouldn't be a problem.:confused:
