Anyone seen a truck cap with side doors you can stack fert in? Kind of like the side boxes that Lehman Mfg makes except Im looking for the whole cap.

seems like it wouldn't be too hard to fabricate.. buy the side boxes, then hire a welder for the rest :)

If you don''t mind me saying, man, I REALLY like your website. Talk about well put together, well thought out and so simply user friendly. Very well done. Oh, and I DO like the topper. That is just too cool. Is that enough height that they can just slide a pallet in? That would be the ticket...right out of the weather.
thank you.
you can slide a pallet in but i don't. i stack it so i can grab it on the side door.

We use Ford E350 box vans and we are starting to move toward LCF low cab forward vans for thier increased handling and higher GVWR. Can load a pallet at a time into the side door.

No,...that's just WAY too much overkill for a spray rig. When you're carrying a whole bunch of mowing equipment, that is fine...But for a fert. rig, it's just impractical.

actually we use box trucks as our service vehicles. not impractical at all. each truck has a 300 gal tank, 100 gal tank, 50 gal tank, room for a ton and a half of granular product, room for our permagreens inside box and a push spreader and plenty of back packs for spraying and a back pack blower.
other advantage......porta potty (we all have to go....we just dont go in the woods), large rolling bilboard. Rain....with everything inside the box...let it rain. need to run a personal errand....just lock the box everything is secure
we dont have a side door to load and that would be a nice feature
disclaimer: no, we have never had to be in a situation when every tank is full and 1.5ton fert, nice to know we couold if we had too
we find box trucks very efficient for us
but to each his own
