Was wondering about something I saw on TV recently.
For the last month of the football season, FedEx field had an enormous amount of topdressing. I assume this was Bermudagrass overseeded with Rye. That being the case, what was the deal with all of the sand?
Fields here in the South are commonly overseeded, but usually not topdressed as part of the process.
Did they do this to generate warmth for the ryegrass seed? Just curious if anyone knows.
