The ONLY grass seed I use was developed in your state. SOUTHERN GOLD, very nice fescue.

Myself, I'm glad for the early cold snap we got months ago that stopped everything.

We have had very mild weather since, but not enough to get the soil temps back up to a level for it to take off... and the rains have been cold here which helps.

If not for this, I would have had no time off this winter or last on fescue lawns.

I wish it would either be nice or nasty out. Not both. It has been in the 50's all "winter" so far. We might as well say it's spring & knock winter out of the picture.

You missed the joke I think...

This is a thread about fescue being green in the WINTER.

I was pointing out there are no GREEN leaves on trees in winter....

To update about the kind of winter I'm having in my service area.... Monday I finally got off my duff and ended my long vacation. While out and about just 'scoping things out' I noticed my azaleas in the lower elevations have spotty budding and blooming... IN JANUARY NO LESS!!!

Here it is two days later... the wind is literally howling and it's colder than a well digger's @ss and the high elevations are getting snow. Not 'up-north' cold... but such a sudden change HURTS and it's twice as bad with this cutting wind...

Talk about screwy weather....
