Bose, but they're expensive.

I have a pair of Panasonic, they were about $15. They have foam that goes around the ears, and also a little more padding than your typical headphones. It will NOT cancel out all outside sounds (they're not the noise cancelling ones), but I like to be able to hear other stuff while I'm mowing, too. Hook it up to my wife's iPod and mow away.

i wish i had a pair of wireless headphones for my ipod.

i got a good pair of noise canceling sony headphones, but sometimes when i am doing landscaping, or putting on a backpack blower the cord gets in the way.

We use these. They are tough as nails and sound pretty good.

Any quality sound generator will suffice. What is needed is something to place the sound against the eardrum. Caution is to be used as to not cause worse damaged to your hearing than the drone of a 20hp Kaw. Hear buds come to mind as an add on to your ear pieces. This will cancel out most of the resonance of the mower deck and motor. I like to use my cell phone software to stay in contact with the rest of my customers while mowing. Music cuts off as a call comes in. The radio comes back on without touching the controls. An iPod would acheive the same effect but wouldn't keep you in contact with the rest of the world while rockin'.

I second that-Bose, but they're expensive. Long term investment.
