i picked up the cs-440 about a year ago right after hurricane katrina. let me tell ya, i put that thing through hell with the amount of trees that were down and the only thing i've had to do to it was sharpen the chain (because i used it so much). for me, it's perfect for what i need it for.

The 520 is a great saw. We sell a pile of them to Verizon for cutting the poles. Would put it up against any Husky or Stihl in that price range pound for pound.

Thats a great deal we just paid 329.99 for our cs440, but it came with a free echo canvas carrying case. Pretty nice case actually.Oh yeah and if you buy it in your name and not the company's or your wifes if you have one. Echo just changed their warranty to five years for homeowner use on all their equipment as of january 1 , 2007

The 440 and 520 are good saws. They rev pretty quick, not quite as quick as some Husky's or Stihls but they are nice units. The Air filtration on the CS 440 is wickedly nice IMO!!
