I have some pictures of grass cut with a 2760 super w/xr-7. Look in the pictures forum under mowing pics. It should be near the top.

tacoma- Well taken picture. One question- generally, what types of grass were you cutting when you experienced trouble?

Crabgrass and mixed grasses are what it wouldn't cut. Pure stands of grass or Southern grasses cut very well with the XR7. Some areas in my state reported no problems with the deck but it just didn't work here. Hustler did stand behind their product. I just think a demo is very important because of all the different types of grass around the country.

They were sharp and the MOWER WAS NEW. Everything was checked and including adjusting the deck. I was one of many with the problem. No solution could be found. Hustler could not get it to cut even though they tried. I was sent various attachments to help but they did not work. The xr7 deck has no lift compared to other mowers in my opinion. I could send you 100 post with similar problems but I won't bother. Hustler made it right so I have no complaints it was just a learning experience. I keep all my equipment in perfect working order including sharp blades and a clean deck. The mower was taken to a different part of the state and it did well in those conditions and it did well here as long as it was a good pure stand of grass. But never as good as the Exmark that I compared it to side by side for months. Exmark (Ultracut) always left a smoother cut but the XR7 did better when it was really wet.
