Currently I am only using a Dethatcher for my clean ups. The customers seem to like the quick outcome of a green lawn. The thing I dont like it that it leaves too many bare spots. Now from what Ive read it seems that aerating is better for the lawns.
Should I aerate once a year?
What aerator should I buy?

I like to aerate about 3 to 4 times per year. I like to core in the spring and soild tine the other times. I like the Plugr brand[www.plugr.com].

a plugr may not move as fast as say a Ryan or a Bluebird, but they pull great plugs and are way easier on your back, the big downside is the tines, they don't last long at all and cost 4-5 times more than the other style.
