I have an old 82 Chevy Scottsdale with a 350 under the hood that I plan on using this year to start up...I ran across a 98 F150 with 223K miles...asking 5500 (XLT fully loaded)...not planning on buying it, but raises the question of mileage on LCO trucks...most trucks are designed to run for 250K miles or more, what about yours?

A few miles under 25,000. I should be good for another 975,000 miles with my Cummins.

If it runs good a 242,000, I would say 300,000 is a realistic goal, 350,000 is pushing it, I would expect to do a tranny before anything.

95 ford f-250, 97,750 - Pulls my big trailer every summer, plows every winter, never beaten and always maintained. I've treated it good and it treats me good. The miles are all around town, with not having an over drive the highway is a little to scary. This thing has been worked, plowed, overloaded, and yanked trailers for 12 years and still doesn't burn a drop of oil with the original everything. Thats why I am a ford guy. Next spring i'm going to buy a 97 f-350 powerstroke from a friend, can't wait to finally own a diesel.

better question is how many do you guys put on per year full time?

Up until last year i was only part time and so my F150 wasnt getting a TON of miles, but i think it was around 12-14k per year, and thats only using it for the lawn cutting purposes.

My 06 f350 i put 8.5k on it since october of 06... Actually, it sat nearly the whole winter. A better perspective, ive put 4k+ on it just since April 28th, yet i went 1000 miles from NJ to ohio and back for a car race, thats still 3k in a month!

Figure 3k monthly for May-October is 18k per year just for those 6 months alone.

-'03 F-350; 53,000 miles.
-'84 GMC C-7000; 150,000? 250,000? The odo reads 50 something, no 6th digit.
-Just traded the '95 Suburban; it was pushing 200,000 but was getting tranny work every year or two at the end...

btw, RamAir: that's a sharp looking Super Duty; they look good with srw.

I've just gone full time and put about 900 miles on the F-350 in the first week, but that was with two days on the far side of town
