If I don't get some good vitamins in me I'm gonna fall over from fatigue! What is out there that will carry you through these long and trying days. Going back to bed right now would be very easy, too easy................I mean really easy.

The grass is calling though so I have to force myself out of this chair and into the waiting arms of mother nature.

Please...................someone help Homer. He's feeling pretty wasted at the moment.

Maybe it's just the morning thing?

Good vitamins.............no drugs thank you.

I take "mega-men" from GNC. If you go that route, its worth it to get the 20% discount card.
I'm still tired and run-down though... and I'm definately not a morning person:o

I take Melaleuca Vitamins and they are all natural. You can try these for 90 days and if your not satisfied, you can send the empty bottles back and they give you your money back. I have taken these for about 6 years now, so I didn't send mine back. ;)

My choice is GNC ultra mega gold without iron. Iron is bad for men. This product is heads above the cheap grocery store stuff.

Quality vitamins fight off invading pathogens and therefore stop
the formation of a disease.

I run track and use to feel the same way after long distance runs. I don't take individual vitamins. Just water or gatorade and a protein bar w/vitamins afterwards. Try this. Before mowing drink at least 8oz of water. Every 20min. you should be drinking at least 8oz of water. If you mowed for more than an hour get gatorade and protein bar afterwards.

One thing that might help, but i know you guys won't want to hear this; stop drinking and smoking. Those things are really hard on the body. Anyway be safe.

Charles is a vitamin expert from a long ways back. Vitamins taken in mega doses are a nono and some of the vitamins can be toxic in large doses. People dont understand that the body only aborbs what it need and passes the rest through urine. The body stores vitamin E and A. A recent study showed that Vitamin A in large doses can and will cause liver damage and blured vision among other things.
Homer, Just eat a balance breakfast : eggs, grits, toast and coffee(just one cup). Not too much bread because it absorbs water. Eat serial containing oats. Like said above drink plenty of water during the day. Stay away from colas. Dont eat any sugar or drink cafeine after 6 pm so you will sleep better

I have used Mega-men before as well, but the dosage on some of the components are too high. As Charles stated you will urinate the excess...so if you notice that then you are taking in excess on a certain vitamin.

Homer

Try 100% Whey Protein Drink. It tastes like a milk shake. Have a glass about 2:00 in afternoon. You can get it at GNC. Works for me.

Try the vitamins made by Dr. Linus Pauling. Avoid any gel cap vitamins. Eckerds sells them.

I know there's a lot of stuff out there, but let me
tell you what is truly amazing. Vitamins don't do
much for me. I take 'em off and on. But one time I
tried this stuff and I will tell you it is really
wierd. I felt like I was in a dark closet for a long
time, then came out into the sunshine with a cool
breeze on a windy day!!!!!! (no, it wasn't funky weed)
It is raw Royal Jelly. You have to take it every day
for about a month to get the results. If you try this,
you will get the same thing. Do not get any royal jelly
except the RAW. You can get some from a company called
"Bee Alive" No, I do not sell it. Just try it. But don't
get discouraged after 2 weeks. Keep it up for a month or
2. I guarantee it will make you feel like you are 18!!!

Charles,

No one is going to side with you?? In fact folks have just plain ignored you. :)

But, I agree with what you said, and this is what my Doctor has told me many times. Eating well balanced meals will supply the body all the vitamins it needs.

Especially eat a good breakfast. The most important meal of the day. (as far as I am concerned, and what my Doc said) And that is also what they taught us in school many years ago.

charles is right as far as by the book goes.
in real day to day tho ,we just dont usually get what we need.
especially in situations like homer and any body in this buisiness.
the vitamin i mentioned ,i know helps me at 54 yrs old.
i also know that a lot of wasted vitamins are going down the ,well never mind.vitamines are big buisiness.but if you are being pulled down by
stress and work, something is probably going to work for you.
you do have to be careful how much iron,A and others you take.
think im gonna look in to matthews raw royal jelly.man you made that sound good.later now, fixin to go get happy now:)

Never heard of the Jelly thing, where do you find that at?

Sounds interesting.

Vodka? Your really trying to kill me aren't you.

MATTHEW

You can get it at a health food store. It is in a
jar, usually mixed with raw honey. You can get gel
caps, but that type is usually freeze-dried which
reduces its effectiveness. I don't think it will
kill you. It is a natural substance produced by bees
(it is not the same thing as pollen. But again, I can
tell you that you probably will not notice any diff-
erence for a few weeks, but when it does, boy, it does!:blob3:

I agree with Eric: Melaleuca vitamins are excellent. In fact, they are patented because of the compounding process used.
Also, eating right is a good idea but unfortunately, many fresh foods don't have as much nutrition in them as 20 - 30 yrs ago according to the latest USDA studies. Evidently, soil nutrient depletion is catching up to us.

Royal Jelly is what is fed to the Queen Bee before and after she becomes queen! I've heard that it's high in nutrients.

Something you might want to try is avena sativa(wild oats) Its an herb you can buy in solid or liquid form. The liquid is the best. All these "improve your sex drive" ads on tv contain it. It also boost your energy level and is good for depression. Go to the web and put in those words there is alot of info on it there. HIgh in vitamins and minerals. BUt honey is good too and royal jelly. Both contain alot of vitamins and minerals. BUt they also contain sugar.

Try a couple Viagra around noon, you'll want to get home to the wife so fast, you'll fly through the rest of the day.

It's not a drug & it's not a vitamin. It's illegal for Olympic athletes but permitted (last I knew) for professional sports.

It's used by your body to manufacture testosterone.

Works for me!

MATTHEW

Not just nutrients. There is something else in there. Did you
know that worker bees eat only pollen and live for 6 weeks.
The queen is fed royal jelly and lives for 6 years. In lab tests,
queen bees that were taken off the royal jelly and given pollen
to eat DIE within 6 weeks!

Mark Mcguire (the home run guy) was using this stuff.

I wouldn't take it every day, and don't take more than the recomended dose. Excessive dosage has been linked to negative side effects.

Ever try DOUBLE X multivitamins? They're made by Nutrilite, available only from Quixtar through an independent business owner.

My husband is a truck driver, used to travel OTR, and anyone who has ever done that knows how tired you get. Now he gets up at 3:30am and it's an "early" day if he's home by 7:30pm. Loren says the only thing that gets him through is Double X -- it gives him the energy he needs and since it's all-natural it's really good for you. Plus, we hardly ever get even a cold.

Double X has phytonutrients, which are emerging as an important cancer-preventative, not to mention Selenium, natural vitamin C, echinacea, and a whole slew of other good stuff. Plus after 10 boxes you get one free. It's sort of expensive, but in vitamins, you definitely get what you pay for.

As far as protein bars, Nutrilite has come out with a line that actually tastes good (yes!) -- they're very good for replacing what you lose after exertion, only 4g of carbs (2g of that is fiber) and 22g of protein, plus other vitamins. Loren takes at least 2 along in his lunchbox every day. I just finished push-mowing our 1/2 acre yard (rider is in the shop) and about a liter of water plus one Trim Advantage protein bar later, I feel fine.

Also, before you start your hard-working day, a Trim Advantage meal replacement bar would help -- these still have 15g of protein, but 31g of carbs plus 3g of fiber, to give you energy.

You can logon to Quixtar and order for yourself, either retail or wholesale.

Retail = Client, costs $0 to register.

Wholesale = Member, $20 to register, $10/year to renew.

Either way you can order whatever you want and have it sent straight to your door. (no salesman will call! LOL!)

Here's the address: www.quixtar.com.

Go to the top left corner, click on "View USA". If you want, you can just click on "Register Now" and that will take you straight to the registration page with easy to follow directions.

If you want to check out the products first, click on "Skip Intro", then on the main "tour" page about 2/3 of the way down the left side, you'll see a listing for "Home, Health and Self". Click on the word "Health", then you can cruise around that section to your heart's content.

When you decide whether you want to purchase as a Client or a Member, you'll need an IBO # and a Key to register. You are welcome to use mine:

IBO # = 0655082
Key = WIL

Holler if you need help or have more questions. By the way, all Nutrilite products are 100% money back guaranteed.
