wow, sounds like they are extremely hard up and can't find any help at all. maybe if they would up their wage some, they might have a better chance of finding someone that is at least employable.

I think they are trying to get emp. through the H2B program and from what i have read they need to prove that they cant find any local help. Thats what it sounds like to me!

I'd have to agree. You place the hourly rate low enough that they don't generate any leads and then they have their proof on paper.

They have to be looking for foreign labor and using the print ad for H2B reasons. That's the only thing that makes sense. That is probably what they'll be paying those immigrants as soon as they cross the border. I hate the H2B program!

Not to hijack the thread but could you elaborate on why you dislike the H2B program and what has worked for you to attract American workers?

Thats the idea. Once they prove they cant get anybody to work, then they can bring in the H2B workers.I read something that marcus drake guy wrote, sorry no quote. By the way im not against the program as its run now other than the fact if they closed the borders we could all raise our rates 50 % or more.

These two parts together have got to be the funniest part!
It maybe for the H2B program, however there are alot of lco's that pay this type of rate.
I had a guy in Lafayette offer me some work, $7.50 an hr (he said about 4 hrs worth) trimming over 200 bushes... Now this offer was to my father, which put in this guys business phone, so he asked what the guy was charging to do the entire job..... $1800. Needless to say i told Dad to tell this guy to stuff it!
Oh yeah GO Colts!

I was glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks that you can operate a company with legal US citizens. I was just wondering how you find them?
I have used Jobbing.com and I pay considerably higher wages than industry standards. I have a clear pathway to advance through the company and I offer health insurance and a few other benefits. Even with all that I have a hard time finding any help.
Any suggestions you care to share with me?

Everything else aside living expenses in Indiana are stupid low. My mother still tries to get me to move back there and E-Mails me homes for sale with land that are 40-50-K
Here is an add I ran when I was still doing newspaper adds
L/S, work really hard in the
sweltering heat. Make little
more than minimum wage.
Ponder your co workers
hygiene and lunch offerings.
Sound like the job for you?
We were trying the humor route, it didn't make much difference as I recall.

Yeah that was a good game and it was about time they won but dont think that would have been the case if NE players weren't all sick with the flu. I'm looking forward to watching the Bears run over the Colts unless Grossman does everything he can to lose the game. Those little Colts will look funny when matched up against the Monsters of the midway Chicago Bears. Offense verses Defense in Super Bowl. I liked watching the Colts game better than I did the Bears, the Bears just ran over the Saints while the Colts had their hands full.

Like others have said already, they don't have any intentions of attracting American or legal laborers at those prices. They are following the H2B guidlines for utilizing the programs workers. They can show they tried to get workers and no one wanted that gravy job at $7.25 hr. Oh! what a shock! I agree we would be able to charge more for our services if we didn't have to compete with artificial labor prices. Granted some people would go back to cutting ther own lawns or commercial customers would cut back on services but the real question would be what about our profit margins.
