I am getting ready to purchase a Exmark Lazer or LazerHP. Both are offered with a 52" deck, I just an not sure which one I should get. Most of my lawns are 1/4 to 1/3 Acre. Both machines are about the same cost, I think the Lazer is wider than the Hp so I will probably lose some trimming capabilities next to tree rings and mulch beds. I guess this is why I can not decide which one to get. The Hp is smaller so I will probably be able to trim closer to beds. Let me know what you think. If there are any other pros and cons of each machine please let me know. What do you guys think of the 48" LazerHP
If you're getting a 52" get a HP.
They're smaller, simpler and offer Kaw air-cooled engines. :)

I went with the lazer,bigger footprint=better
traction. Also I was able to get the liquid cooled Kawi, hopefully for engine longevity. I considered deck size and went with the 60"
The HP will offer you greater manuverability
and weighs 1/3 less

----------
Valhalla lawn and pool
I would go with the HP. thats what i did. You will have trouble getting through some double wide gates with the larger Lazer. The only thing the lazer would beat the HP on is traction but i havent not had one problem with traction for the HP yet.

My local dealer is a schister.
I keep seeing posts on cheaper Exmarks than what they sell them for.
I've spent more on Exmarks the last 4 years than I care to share and the best price I could get on an EPS was $9700 (72") if I bought 2.

Thanks for your replies. I now have some pricing from the dealer. I can actually buy the fullsize lazer for cheaper than I can buy the Lazer HP with the 23HP Kawasaki. Prices are as follows,
LazerHP 20HP Kohler $6075.
LazerHP 23HP Kohler $6275.
LazerHP 23HP Kawa. $6500.
Lazer 23HP Kohler $6350.
What do you guys think I should do now. I can even buy the 48" cheaper. Do you think it would just a good as the 52" I know 4" is not a whole lot of difference but I do have some tight areas to get into. I just don't want to lose trimming capabilities.
I edited both of my post. What do you guys think of the 48". This is just another thought I am having, before I take the Plunge.

I would get a 23 Kohler 60"
I've never used a mower I thought the deck was too big. You'll be running it yourself, your not going to scalp. You're going to finish your job faster. IMO
Lots of guys buy smaller decks, I can never figure out why.

Lazer,
I have alot of areas that have trees next to mulch beds and the 60" would not fit between them. I have a 36" to get into backyards so that is not an issue.

Damn Brians, those are good prices!! I really want a 52", but the best I can do is $6300 for an HP 52" with a 20 HP Kohler engine (and I had to work hard to get that price).
