We currently run Exmark & Toro WB's. The Exmark Tri-vantage deck is terrible in heavy spring growth or wet turf for clumping, while the Toro SFS is excellent in these conditions. The Exmark tri-vantage is much better than the SFS during mulching season. Can an SFS deck be retofit to an Exmark power unit? Wanted to put an SFS deck on the Exmark in the spring. The Exmark sits idle until the real heavy growth is over.
Thanks.

If the EXmark is a POS then sell it and buy another Toro.

The Exmark gives a much better cut during mulching season, and for leaf mulching. Toro- April to mid June. Exmark- the rest of the season.

that's why a Walker is such a great machine .....bagging deck in fall .....mulching deck in summer ;->
Anything is possible of you throw enough money at it. Unless there are major differences in the design of the power unit I would think it might be as simple as getting a competent fabricator to build whatever ataching hardware is required.

If you're using newer machines it should be as simple as removing the deck and deck frame from the Exmark and attaching the deck and deck frame from Toro.
