It was $5500.... Seems like alot for a trailer, but it is much cheaper than a dump truck and will do everything I need it to.....I already added spring assists for the gate, it weighs a ton......dual 160# garage door springs....

It was part of my 5 year plan to replace the trailer this year.... I started with a 6x10 single axle, moved up to a 6.5x12 tandem and now this.....

Yea what happens when you go to dump? Is it going to dump onto the gate or does the gate swing out of the way?

I like it nice little box on the front.

The box is for the battery. I have a 7x16 14k gross

the gate swings from the top out......there are hitch pins at the bottom for ramp use and then there are two at the top for dumping. You can see one on the right side about 1/4 from the top...

The battery and hydraulic unit are in the box......but I will also keep some small tools in there since it is lockable.....

when I take the salt spreader off I will pull it out and get a pic of it in the dump position, showing the gate function.....

Nice! Are you going to put racks on it? If so, which ones and where?

Glad you thought the gate issue through. I would have hated to see you build the gate then get stuck in a bind. Good thinking

Tag^ Can the trailer carry a skidsteer because i've seen guys with similar dump trailers and the have a gate or ramp so that the trailer can haul a one. Looks like it has alot of uses.

How do you disable that spring assist when you dump. This looks like a great idea, guess you use it for lawn equipment as well.

racks....yes......trimmer trap
skid steer.....yes with heavier ramps
the spring assists disconnect for dumping.....

it will be overkill for maintenance, but great for leaves, cleanups, debris, and mulch...

more later....

I would just make sure when you put things in the small box that the battery cover is on.... I have one & my help through all kinds of sh.. in there... straps, bungee's & they keep shorting out the battery & blowing the fuse... Oh ya & keep a few extra fuses on hand... because when its full & the fuse is blown You will be pissed when you go to dump & no power... BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!!

I just had another thought!!!! I was at a job & my help put the tailgate down to take something out of the back of the truck. Then I needed to move the truck & you guessed it the jack hit the tailgate & bent the tailgate not the jack... the next day I ordered a tailgate for use w/ a 5th wheel..
I guess they call it a 5th wheel tailgate... made of tube steel w/U shape. Now even with tailgate down it wont hit the jack... Oh ya I love the Trailer

Very nice, but did you have the option to buy one with the wheels under the body? I know some one that has a 7x14 bri-mar with the wheels under and says its a foot skinnyer going down the road; much better of a setup.

Great trailer. I have the same one, we use it for mulch, top soil, gravel, etc. In the fall it becomes the leaf box. Good luck with it.

Everyone has preferences.....and that maybe better for him but, I wanted the low profile since I will be using it regularly for mowing etc..... This trailer is already 6" narrower than my old one....

Good point. I will make sure and secure anything in the box..... and cover the battery terminals....

I'll try again....how do you disengage your spring assist when you dump?

LawnScapers of Dayton

ed2hess.......sorry I missed your post........

The cables come out of the tubes and connect the the gate via eye bolts. To dump I just have to disconnect those cables from the eye bolts and pull the hitch pins that hold the bottom of the gate to the trailer. When it dumps the gate pivots on the upper pins and functions like a dumptruck gate......

I hope to get pictures today.......

I was looking around their website and I cant find this trailer. Is the ramp something that fits any dump trailer of theirs?

Never mind I found the answer. They sell the ramp separately as an accessory.

How high is the box off the ground? I really like the gate/ramp. My trailer is a dump also but it has swing/dump doors on it. I would like to make up a couple of gates that can be interchanged depending on the job, as I do hardscaping as well. The ramps are useless that come with my trailer until I retrofit them.

the deck is at 26"... That is one of the reasons I picked Brimar......lowest deck height out there...... I guess there is an option for 4" drop axles also......
