We are currently in the process of buying a newer dump truck. We were looking at F-450, and C4500. Then I noticed the isuzu cab over. I was wondering what your opion on these were. We do maintenance and hardscaping with our dump truck. Can the isuzu handle the heavy tear-out? Is one a better move than the other?

I have the c4500 with the duramax and allison. I hual a 600 gal hydroseeder on the back+ supplies. Truck pulls great loaded or empty. My brother owns the Ford, for me no comparison, I'll stick to the Duramax over the powerstroke any day of the week. As for the Isuzu, never drove one so no opinion there.

DO NOT BUY A 6.0 Powerstroke if you need a realiable long lasting truck!

The Izuzu Cab-over is the same truck as the W series cabovers that Chevy sells. Isuzu builds both.

They are excellent trucks, but they are geared low so you won't get them over 70mph.

They are designed to be reliable performers, not to be a performance truck, they definitely don't have the balls of the C4500.

I wouldn't touch a F-450 with 10 ft pole.

If your looking at a new work truck that is strictly for work I would suggest look at Hino the little conventional cab trucks they build are good trucks.

If you need 4wheeldrive or you do allot of offroad work the Hino prolly wouldn't do but if your on the pavement and city work not a problem.
