I'm looking for anyone's recommendations for a fertilizer spreader for my ztr(Exmark). Checking the hyped up ads for this attachment is confusing and anyone's first hand "where the rubber meets the road" experience would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

I have had good luck with my Spread 4 Mower spreader. It has one switch to open the gate and turn on the spreader mower, all electric. I have read the Lesco spreader is good and cheaper, but you have to operate the gate by hand.

I have an Earthway electric I mounted on my Lazer HP & a 35 gal.
spray tank I built to mount in the Ultravac mount for spraying.
Have a friend w/ a Jrco electric and he has had motor & reostat
problems. The Earthway is a lot less money than the Jrco and does
a great job. ED

Lesco paid $295

called the "truckster"

get the trailer hitch from Exmark and a flat peice of steel and you can have it mounted in 1/2 hour

after you made your mount you can put it on and take it off in under a min.

Lesco.

Buy the truckster one and replace that miseasble rope with their push-spreader lever and add a reostat.

I have those spread-4-mower units and they're too weak, too wobbly and too finiky for everyday use.

This truckster spreader... is it a front mount?

$300 include everything you need...mounting hardware?

Does it have a motor? What's a reostat?

Is there something better for $100 more... $200 more?

Thanks!

My best advice is to go to Lesco and see for your self and figure how to mount on mower.

But if you want to spend some money there is a spread 4 more I think Eric ELM has one

 Check out the Jrco Spreader. It's a nice spreader and the mounting bracket can be used for all different attachments. The tine dethatcher and leaf plows are awesome.
