I have a whole package. Truck to trailer. Here's the list:
1998 Dodge Ram 1500: Standard cab short bed with a tool box. 3.9 v6 with
just under 150,000 runs/tows great. Needs some front end work but I
have all the parts. Paint and body is in poor condition, but it's a
hard work truck.
12x6 foot open box trailer. Has a rack able to hold a edger, weed
eater and hedge trimmer. Also has a utility box (lockable) that I use
for the blower and gas cans. Can also hold my small briggs and strat
pressure washer.
2000 50" Dixie Chopper riding mower. 22 horse Kholer. Hour meter is
broken. Runs like a champ. Needs a new seat and the rock catcher
welded. Has new tires on the rear ($110 a piece) Just put a new belt
on it a few months ago and oil is changed frequently.
1998 36" Bunton walk behind mower. 14 horse Kholer This thing is a
dream. It looks bad, but it is a one pull start, every time. Almost
time for belts, but those are easy to get. Other than that, it doesn't
look great, but it works great.
1 Redmax edger
1 Redmax weed eater
1 Redmax backpack blower
(all a couple years old)
Gas cans 2 and 5 gallons, a spool of
Redmax weedeater string, and extra blades for the edger, Bunton and
Dixie chopper.
Also if you're interested, a 2200 psi briggs and stratton pressure washer.
Looking for $9000 for all of it, but I'm flexible. If interested, I can take pictures or we can set up a time to meet. I bought the equiptment from a friend of mine a few months ago and now I'm going back to school. We can also work out deals if you don't need all equiptment. Call 321-202-5360 @ any time.

Sorry I wasn't able to reply sooner. I've only got a couple customers left. Only one of interest to anyone is off of ferncreek. Without the truck I'm looking for about $6000 (obo). I'm trying to get this stuff gone quick. I just bought a new vehicle and I need the garage space. I'm also willing to sell the dixie by itself or the trailer with the two-cycles and the bunton for about $3000 If you want just the mowers, I'll take $4000. I really am trying to sell the equipment as a package deal. Package deals are the American way :usflag: . The truck is just extra if someone is trying to get into the business and needs one (I'd rather keep it because it runs good, it's just ugly as hell)
I'll be around the house all day today (Friday) and I don't go in to work until 5:30 pm tomorrow evening. Call and you can check it all out. I'm a motivated seller at this point.

I wanted to edit my post but couldn't. My accounts have mostly been family and friends. I made most of my money (like most) from side jobs. If it matters to anyone, I bought my equiptment from Harris Lawn service. Those of you who know the guy know the equiptment was taken care of very well.

no velkie for the bunton. I'm sure you can find one. I never looked for one since it's belt driven. As far as equiptment, only what I've listed is for sale. I never bought a hedge trimmer because I didn't have enough demand for it. I just did it the old fashoined way with my loppers and clippers. As far as blades go, I was told "more chop, less toss" so I believe so. I have an extra set of blades for both the bunton and dixie.

My brother lives in Orlando off of Lake Econolohachee Rd. (sp?) and he was looking to possibly start something up. This might be able to get him off the ground.

sunrise, I have to say, it really is. I learned a lot in just the few months I've owned this equiptment. The guy who sold me the stuff was really great. He's a good motivator and told me everything I need to know about being successful with a small operation. It's been great, I like being outdoors, and once I'm out of school, I'm going to buy myself another setup and get back into it. It's just one of these things. With all the developement in our area, it's easy to make money. In the end, that's what we're all here to do.
What is your best cash price on the Dixie?

how much for the trailer??
Sorry man, I'm trying to sell the business whole. Only if someone buys the two mowers will I sell the the trailer by itself.
If there are people out there who are seriously interested I'll sell this equiptment at a lower cost. My goal is to sell it all before the end of the week.
$7500 gets the whole deal (truck, trailer, both mowers and all two stroke)
$5500 gets everything but the dixie chopper (for those interested in a smaller setup)
-or-
$5500 for all the lawn stuff minus the truck
$2500 gets the dixie alone
-or-
$2800 gets the lawn equiptment without the dixie
That's the breakdown. Wont seperate it any other way because it makes it harder to sell, and that's my goal.

No problem. We're all here to make money, and I feel that the prices set are fair. As always, "cash talks...." so I hope to hear from you. There's someone coming over today to check out the dixie chopper, and if he buys it, I will be sure to note that on this thread.

ok, so the guy didn't buy it. He stated the obvious, needs a new seat, well no duh, pictures can tell you that. He said it needed a tune up and what not adjusted. That I can understand. Then again, that's why I'm not selling it for more than $3000. While we were looking at it, we noticed it's actually a 99, not a 2000, I apologize for that, I was told it was a 99-00, either way, it still runs great. He complained about the hydros on it because [U]he[U] could not make it go straight in reverse. Needs a new muffler as I would assume a now 8 year old mower would, no big, still runs great. If you wanted a new mower, you'd go to a dealer and fork out $7000 for a new dixie. In the end, he offered me 1600 for it and I had to say no way. (this was one of the people who saw it on craigs list where I also have it listed)
Oh, I don't think I listed it earlier in my posts, the parking brake doesn't work. It's probably something stupid that someone could fix no problem. I never thought about it because I just cut a piece of wood and screwed it to the floor of the trailer. It doesn't go anywhere while I drive, so I never bothered to mess with the brake otherwise. Only reason I mention it is because this guy came over with a trailer with no rails of any sort, probably only about 4x6, and towing it behind a toyota camry.

The prices listed are the best prices I can do for cash. With the exception of the entire lawn package (with or without the truck) The reason the prices don't seem to add up is because all this equiptment is easier to sell as a package than by itself. I don't want half a lawn company still taking up all my garage space.
Best I'll go on the whole setup is $7000 with the truck and $5000 without it. No haggling from there.

No problem man. I'm going to go ahead and make it known, that the pressure washer wont be included. I just say that because it was mentioned on here because I don't want any confusion.
You'll get the two-stroke, bunton, trailer, and a couple gas cans. Plus the extra string I have and a couple extra edger blades.

02-05-2007, 03:46 AM
A couple years I think. I'd have to call my buddy and ask. It's all still in good working condition. The edger needs the wire to the cut off switch fixed. It runs, but you have to choke it to cut it off.
