I live in the south. I have common bermuda as my lawn and I have a good stand of it. Since living where I do for the past 7 years, I have been unable to get good results when planting Oregon grown annual ryrgrass. I have been planting in late Sept. The grass will come up for the most part. However I will still have bare spots. In Nov. when I cut it, the grass will then not come back up. Essentially I have just a brown yard during the winter mos. I have had the ph. test done on my yard and I have corrected that. Also before planting I have aereated good both before and after to drive the new seed in the ground. Before this I would cut the bermuda low so as not to compete too much so the winter seeds could come up. Any suggestions??????????
