Has anyone used one of these type of aerator. Did it work well? Dig in deep? Pull out the dirt like their web site advertised? How much did you pay for it?

I usually rent one to do my aerating and think that they work really well. The best thing is that there are no plugs to deal with and that they do aerate to 3" it does all that the web site says that it will do.

Other posts in the past have said that they are no good in dry, hard soil as they won't pull the plugs with their design.

been thinking about, they run around 1700.00. I think I may just get an aerator so that the mower isn't tied up, the aerators will run around 2K new so for close to the same price I think it is a good investment.

Ya the only problem with the ones that are about 2 grand are only 18 in wide so thats prob about 16" functional and i doubt you can cover as much ground, but they may be better who knows
